City Statement Regarding Postponement of Pig on the Pond
City Manager Darren Gray shares this statement regarding Project Scholars' recent announcement to postpone Pig on the Pond:
”The city supports Project Scholars and Pig on the Pond, and we are proud to partner with them on such a worthwhile mission -- providing scholarships for deserving students. We look forward to having this event return to Waterfront Park next year."
Also, for clarification, the city would like to share that:
Project Scholars and Pig on the Pond are independent of the City of Clermont. The city has supported Pig on the Pond by approving their applications for event fee waivers and grants.
The City of Clermont was not involved in the decision to postpone the event.
The City of Clermont has confirmed Project Scholars' request to reserve the city's Waterfront Park for March 5-7, 2021 for Pig on the Pond.
