A Message from your Tax Collector
From the Lake County Tax Collector's Office (April 1, 2021):
We are pleased to announce the Lake County Tax Collector's Office will return to regular operations and service accessibility after Easter Sunday. On April 5, 2021, our traditional method of serving you, our neighbors, will be restored.
It is high time we begin returning to our normal lives and to the quality of life we have all come to enjoy in Lake County. We intend to do our part at the Tax Collector's Office and restore the open and welcoming manner in serving our customers to which we are accustomed.
We will utilize the technological improvements and other positive changes made throughout the challenges of this past year to continue enhancing services, while maintaining the level of health and safety measures established during this time.
Alternative methods for completing transactions are encouraged and will remain available, such as online vehicle registration renewals and property tax payments, mail-in and drop-box services, and our convenient ExpressLane service for vehicle registration renewals.
Most importantly, we want to express our collective appreciation for the sacrifice, patience, and kindness the public has extended to us over the last year. We also want to convey our heartfelt condolences for those who have suffered the loss of loved ones, and to give strength to the caregivers serving those still battling the virus.
Thank you for the honor to serve as your Lake County Tax Collector.
In God We Trust,
David W. Jordan
Lake County Tax Collector
