Details:
The City of Clermont will give out 1,000 free Slash Pine tree seedlings with instructions on how to care for them in honor of Florida’s Arbor Day. The annual giveaway starts at 8 a.m. and will last until all trees are gone. We will also have a special reading of “The Giving Tree” presented by local Children’s Librarian, Kim Roccanti at the start of our Tree Giveaway.
The event is one of many reasons that the City of Clermont has been nationally recognized as a Tree City USA community of 20 years; the city also earned a Growth Award from the Arbor Day Foundation because of the city’s commitment to expanding public trees.
