Parks & Recreation
The City of Clermont Parks Department maintains the Clermont Historic Village and 22 parks. The most widely used parks are Hancock Park, Palatlakaha Park and Waterfront Park. All parks have free admission.
CLERMONT HISTORIC VILLAGE
The Clermont Historic Village is located by Lake Minneola and Waterfront Park. The Village is managed by the South Lake Historical Society and is home to original, historic structures, including: a train depot, Townsend Home, Kern Home, Cooper Memorial Library and a World War II Quonset hut in addition to a re-created one-room schoolhouse.
Waterfront Park is located along Lake Minneola, between East Avenue and Eighth Street. The park is home to almost weekly festivals, such as Pig on the Pond, and a host of triathlons and new water competitions, such as the Champions’ Dragon Boat Festival and Leader of the Lake Regatta. A fitness trail that is part of a 30-mile system, and will be part of the coast-to-coast trail, runs through the park.
Champions Splash Park is also located in Waterfront Park. More information can be found by here.
