Clermont Youth Council
The City of Clermont is looking for dynamic, outgoing and exceptional students in grades 9 to 12 from South Lake County to serve on the Clermont Youth Council. The purpose of the Youth Council is to compliment academic studies by increasing knowledge in local government while providing hands-on opportunities to work directly with local government officials to implement positive changes within the City of Clermont.

Youth Volunteer and Internship Opportunities
Youth ages 16 and up are welcome to explore volunteer opportunities with the city. College students may be eligible to participate in the city's internship program. To inquire, please email the Human Resources Department or call at 352-241-7380.
Clermont Arts and Recreation Center Programs
The City of Clermont offers a variety of programs for our youth at the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, 3700 S U.S. Highway 27. For more information, call 352-394-3500, or check out our programs here.
Junior Park Rangers
Junior Park Rangers is an event that the Clermont Parks and Recreation Department plans to offer annually. Children aged 4-10 are invited to learn more about the city's parks and participate in activities with its park rangers. The inaugural event was held in March 2021 at Lake Hiawatha Preserve and was a great success; read the news release here for a recap. Stay tuned to learn when the next event will take place.
Boys and Girls Club Programs
The Boys and Girls Club of Central Florida's South Lake Club is housed inside the Clermont Arts and Recreation Center, 3700 S U.S. Highway 27. The Clermont Police Department's COPPS Unit partners with them for mentoring and is involved in some of their after-school programs.
