LAKE COUNTY CONNECTION

Lake County offers a local public transportation system to citizens of the County operating as Lake County Connection. Those trips include trips for medical appointments, school, work, shopping, or any other trip someone may want or need to take. The cost is $1 for a local trip running from 6 am to 6 pm. Monday through Friday. There are out of county trips to Orlando and Gainesville for medical appointments on certain days, additional fees apply. To register for this program, call 352-742-2612 and complete an application form.

LYNX

LYNX provides various programs in our community including Commuter Assistance Programs, LYNX Wages Transportation Program and The VanPool Program.

The Commuter Assistance Program includes carpools, vanpools, Employee Shuttle Vans, Consignment Bus Passes, Commuter Choice, Guaranteed Ride Home and Club LYNX. For more information on the programs listed, contact LYNX at407-843-POOL (7665).

The WAGES Transportation Program provides transportation to Welfare Transition individuals and low income residents who are currently employed or participating in job/vocational training programs. To register for the program, complete a Transportation Needs Assessment Form at any One Stop Career location or online at Lynx Bus Public Transportation website.

The VanPool Program provides working people with an alternative to driving alone every day to work. It consists of a group of individuals who live and work near one another and have similar work schedules. For more information, call 407-254-6070 and a Business Relations Representative will provide assistance.
