Planning Division & Development Review

The Planning Division provides both current and long-range planning for the public realm and for properties in the City, within the Joint Planning Area with Lake County and in the Interlocal Service Boundary Agreement area. As part of the implementation of the master plan and in support of the City's brand and community vision, the Planning Division is initiating planning studies that support economic development and a well-connected, bicycle/pedestrian-friendly community.

Eliminating Barriers to Development: A Technical Assistance Grant Project

The City of Clermont embodies the brand, "Choice of Champions." The City was recently awarded a technical assistance grant from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity to identify and map underutilized parcels and to construct a framework for encouraging redevelopment and infill. Two UCF interns have been working on the grant project along with City staff. The link below is the properties that have been identified. By May 2015, a strategic economic development plan will be prepared to assist in the development of the identified parcels.
